Q: On this 1.6km track are we able to drive to find the top speed of our car?
Do they allow that?

If you can reach it in 1.6km, then course you can. The whole point of going to the track is to do what you cant do on the road. Which includes doing stupid speeds. I was hitting 120+ on the skid pan, which I wouldnt do with the same amount of room on the street!

no instructors do briefing then leave u alone to do it urself and as for reaching op speed u should be able to hit 60 socs lol

The 1.6km track isn't completely straight either, so it'd have to be on the longest straightest part of it, which i've calculated to be 460m, so don't know if that's far enough to hit 180 which i'm aiming for.

I could :D I hit 180 at the drags, which is 400m, and thats from a standing start. No way you'll hit it mate, unfortunately.
