As you all know, Perth has been hit by a huge hail storm. Has anyone had any damage done?

At work, we've had two broken windows on our loan cars, and a LOT of damage to a BT50. Not sure of anything else yet.
At home, I've got my Skyline and dog outside. I'm really worried about both :(

we had no damage at work. although a flying sheet of metal and a tree were really close to hitting my car.

in belmont our backyard is flooded.alot of belmont is flooded, i was driving through real real slow and its gotten up to my lights. when we got to emma mum went in her car and aparantly through a smaller puddle than the ones i went in just before my exhaust was under the water too so the bigger puddles would have been worse. :'(

no damage to our house yet though.

the hail at work was quite big and my acr is only half under cover so there may be some dents but at least i'm getting it painted and fixed up soon :D

We got raped at Work.

Out the back hail came through the roof. The workshop basically is flooded. Water is even in the office and has effected the equipment out the back, wheel alignment machine and also the computer server.

Hail out the front and THROUGH THE ROOF INTO THE WORKSHOP has caused damage to our cars and customers cars. The toll includes...
Work Commonwhore (cracked windscreen, broken side windows)
Work Triton (Cracked windscreen, hail damage)
Customers Mercedes Benz C-Class (cracked windscreen)
Brand new un-licensed Hilux (Hail damage EVERYWHERE, broken window)
Workers Cars (4 in total, 3 with bodywork damage and one with bodywork damage and a cracked windscreen)

And probably more.

I hope my car is okay in Midvale!

My sisters car has a smashed windscreen and hail damage. And my mate was about to buy a Nissan Terrano, the sunroof has now been smashed and there is water damage inside.

Ah well...

Well i didn't get any hail where i was, but i had to go pick mum up in dad's car (all the other cars were in the garage, power went out and garage door wouldn't open anymore), drove through two puddles that were massive. Good thing i had dad's car, mum's or mine would have been washed away.

Also, Callum isn't having a good week with his WRX. Got flooded, up to the headlights below water, no longer works. His dad's XR8 had a sheet of metal take the roof off, so that's a write off. And his dad's other car, Ford GT, apparently heavily damaged as well.

So i consider myself very lucky

GTR = duno - hyper
28 year old Porsche with huge manual sunroof = Perfectly waterproof. (no hail in hills)
ford = analy raped by hail (Sis took vid of this, will upload this arvo)
bentley + rolls OK afaik. (I had literally finished covering the rolls and 1sec later, rain came)
Mum's ex's bmw = million dents

PS, Porsche handles too well in the wet, have to be an absolute maniac to get it to slide...

I know lol.

This was fucking scary:

Had to go get food so took Porsche. Now 1 head light is out and wiper don't work. So crawling through the hills, barely being able to see and hitting huuuge puddles I didn't know were there was wayyyy scarier than the weir.

But, my fucking car fixes it self. When I got home, still no power so thought I'd go to mums. Got into car, turned it on and wipers start randomly working!! Then all of a sudden, other headlight starts working!! Epic car, I love ya!!

Haha. Its 1 1982 Porsche, I wouldnt want to even service it! Too scary... Lol. If it was the Skyline, maybe, But being a bunky (still not sure if it falls under that catagory :P) its ok.

I just realised... Porsche daily, Nissan weekender. Didnt expect to see that when I was younger! Haha

Well i fucked up works Pulsar last night. I went thru a massive flooded road on the way home and i killed the car. When i drove thru it, the front lic plate fell off and the car conked out half way driving thru it. The water was half way up the door so there was no fucking way i was opening the door to get out. I just sat there trying to start the Pulsar to see if it would start. I turned the key to have not even a rrr rr rrrr response. Hmmmm. The water shorted the car out coz half the engine bay was under water. I just persisted and said start you fucker coz im not getting out. After heaps of attempts, i finally got rrr rrr rrr. YAY After about another 2 min of sitting there, it finally fired but shit it wasn't running very well. The car had gone into limp mode and i couldn't accelerate more than idle so i basically idled all the way home. When i got home, i turn the car off, popped the bonnet to find a air box full of water. Oops! :whistling: Its lucky i didn't hydraulic it. I dont think the Boss would of been too happy about that.

I let everything dry out over night, put it back together and she fired back into life but still being in limp mode with engine light on.

I did some google research to find the fault codes for the car and how to clear the codes. Done the diagnostic check and cleared the codes. It saved me going to Nissan and getting charged a arm and leg to have the codes removed. The Pulsar now lives again. Its a bloody good car and its never got me stuck. Go Nissan!

Theres one thing i noticed while this all happened and that was that it has a electronic throttle control. Its not cable driven. So if you have a fault with the car electronically, your fucked. Its a shit of an idea. You have no manual control.
