This thread needs more Allen.

Yes, yes it does.

check stalk switch

Negative, parkers not working. Stalk switch? R32s have a dash switch.
Also, interior light that opens with door doesn't work.
Map lights inside both work.

alot of r32s didnt come with dimmer switches. mine had one but it was an aftermarket one, started playing up so i removed it. may work, but by the sounds of things it sounds i doubt it'll be that easy.
all your lights etc may not work due to fukd up wiring job from the engine swap/build -wouldnt suprise me
ive been in ppls cars when wiring has caught fire or melted.
id also be checking if ur window washers (jets) work, hazards, a/c, heater, etc 'everything' has to work and be stock to register a car, they may even ask for a rear spoiler with led tail light.

buying unrego cars to try register them and sell for profit is very risky and usually end up costing alot more than you expect. especially if you cant do the work yourself
i hope it doesnt bite u in the ass dude.

i wouldnt expect to see much of allen in here bcoz i doubt he wants to do love jobs for you so you can try turn a profit

- just sayin yo

I'm not trying to sell it for a profit. I bought it cause I want to do track work, this has a cage and was cheap.

Haven't tested washer jets, but everything else works. Has 3rd brake light high up in rear window.

If you have dash lights, then chances are the switch is fine. Check the bulbs themselves, quite common for both to go at the same time as they're used the same amount in the same conditions.
We can sit here all day telling you what to do (and I've seen your thread on AL) but if you don't know what we're saying it's pretty much useless. Bring it around sometime and I can look at the globes, bonnet pins, the bonnet support, and everything else it might need (oil leaks, ect).

No dash lights
No tail lights
No parkers
No interior light (one that comes on with door open)
Everything else more or less works

Globes look fine.

Sparky tomorrow, if they can fix it, will be going to pits.

have you actually looked behind your dimmer switch and just joined the two wires together?

Interior lights, parkers front and back are ALL on the same circuit.
Don't waste time checking globes. Replace fuse (dont swap fuse with another one, replace it with a brand spanker) and check wiring for shorts.

Alot of people splice power from the cigarette ligther for aftermarket gauges, and often causes circuit to fuck up. There's a starting point.

Already replaced fuse with a brand spanker (tail light one) = no difference.
Will let sparky know tomorrow what you've said.

dimmer switch is usually located near the steering wheel area. maybe you can take a pic or pull apart a bit of the dash to check. I think its a silver looking thing that looks like a remote control car motor.. Also have you confirmed there is power to the taillight fuse?

AutoSpark there are pretty good, we use them when our other Auto Elecs are too busy.

As Nick said, they all run off the same curcuit so I'd be looking there. As for the dimmer switch, my NA had an aftermarket one, but I broke it when I painted the dash, so just bypassed it and all was good. Pretty sure they dont have a factory dimmer, as none of my 33s ever did.

They don't.

Dimmers are/were sometimes installed during complaince, more so for SEVS imports, most of not all pre-89 / "15 year old rule" imports didnt have them installed.

Passed pits, will be on the road monday :)

Next issue, boost.

Got a gauge and it hits like 1.5bar then cuts out to 1bar and hesitates... Ideas?
