Hey guys, not sure if this is the right forum to use, but the kingswood fourm was the closest to what i have.

Just picked it up yesterday
202 blue motor with a 4spd manual in the floor
2 of every part (doors ect)
Needs a fair bit of work, but its all good fun, gives me something to do after work and on the weekends
This will be a good thread to watch for anyone who is looking to or about to start a rebuild of there own, i will be sand blasting, welding, sealing, panel beating, primmering and painting, so anyone that wants to see how it can be done will have a chance to see some rebuild work/ideas right here

Im going to be sand blasting the floor today,as i have already sorted out parts and other bits and peices, i have decided to start with the cab first on this project

Heres a few pics for you all,i will keep updating with new pics as i go along, i have been looking forward to this project for some time now, so hopefully it all goes to plan

Yeah mate, im going to paint her green and gold, solid green all over, gold pin strips and gold in the engine bay, black carpit and door trims, will be making a nice polished wood tray for it, most likly a redwood (jara)

Theres nothing wrong with the 202 blue motor and its matching numbers so theres really no need to change it, even though i would like a sb 327 chev
but it will just be easyer to lic with the stock motor in it, might give it a bit of a tidy up, new rings and bearings, maybe some head work, change the cam, small porting on the head, dont really know mate, will finish the body and inside first, just wanna build a tidy cruiser, small amount of bling here and there, i have a few ideas for rims and stereo and guards ect, which i will share when i get a bit closer to that stage of the build

Chuck a supercharger on the 202, they go surprisingly hard!

Cool. Nice to see an olde getting done up.

I would say Chev it but since your sticken with the 202 (actually 3.3 being a blue motor) i would do the following...

Yella Terra stage 3 head.
Solid lifters.
Roller rockers.
Starfire conrods.
ACL flat top pistons.
Bored out to 60 thou.
Being a blue motor, it should already have electronic ign. If not, put one in.
Pro cam with steel/alloy timing gears.
Chrome molly push rods.
Hi performace manifold to suit 350 Holley
Extractors
High vol oil pump.

Crank wont need changing as blue motors are strong as fuck with a steel crank being std.

Well got a bit of work done on the ute, have had a full on weekend and couple of days filled with other ppl's shit hindering my progress... Grrrr
But i have managed to sand blast the floor pan, sprayed in some rust converter after sanding up the floor pan neat and tidy, found 2 little holes that need to be patched, and have put the floor pan into primer so i can work on it at a later date, hopefully will have some more pics of the progress some

I will get the body work and paint done on the ute before i start spending money on the motor, might even look at an ecotec and 4spd auto
lots of ideas, but i know where im headed with it

Im thinking i wont all the panel work and primmering done before xmas, that way i can paint it over xmas when i have time off work, i all ready have the colour, just gotta get some money up to go towards paint
After i paint the cab and panels, i will finish the rails and rear end off, then move onto the trim work and engine bay and motor, the wooden tray i will build last

so i would like to see it all complete by easter next year, i just try and do a bit everyday, that way i stay intrested in the project and all the little lose ends get finished off nice
