I have had a couple of reports and i know this myself that this ain't working, PM notifications dont popup automatically like they use too. This is due to another skin edit which i have to do for it to work with the new board version.
Once i get a bit of time, i will sort this one out. I can definitely confirm that it is a skin code issue needing to be fixed.

I have had a report from the skin author that a newer version of the current default skin will be released in the next few weeks to correct all the little teathing problems were having with the newer board version.
Just need patienance and time and it will be sorted.

Patienance went out the window today and i fixed the code issue causing this problem. It was shitting me off with it not auto popping up.
All fixed now for the meantime until the new skin version is released.
