Can someone please offer me some insight into the possibilities to why my Alpine DVD Deck isn't able to play DVD's????????

I have found recently a Media unit under the front seat. However when I went to Alberts they wanted $90 just to have a quick look at it. <_<

Nah highly unlikely. I got it with the car but when I turn the car on it always say something Japanese.....it's weird.

lol yeah righto.
umm just a dumb ? have you tried putting the handbrake up enough so the light is on cause if you got it with then car then it is possible it could have had a particular wire wired up preventing it from working unless the handbrake is on
