yeah i seen that, he doesnt say much about it tho, probably another 20yo engine, id rather build my own to my own specs for that price

one step ahead already asked about it.. but its over in melbourne so no good for us in theory...but ive decide to located the problem get that fixed and then start adding mod and updating parts i think that will be the way we go

i took my car to sanders today hes a machanic and he has found the problem and told me to buy a new engine so for an engine and a few other bits i looking at $8,500

If you're going to be forking out 8.5k, I would also definitely go for the rebuild. I can't see how it would cost more than 8.5k to fix, what exactly is the problem?

i ve been told that something under coilpack 4 is broken aka the engine is broken is the way sanderws put it he sid a rebuild would be no good as it would possibly cost too much to fix that one thing in parts and labour than to just replace it...but she'll be off the road for a good few months :( :( :(

and hheheh im keeping the engine that comes out of her :P

sounds like he really knows his shit......
time for a second oppinion. i can organise to pull the engine out for cheap with a mate-o mine but then u'll need to tow the car etc
pull the head off go from there.
u might be able to just buy a new head which would be bout 1-1.5k

okay today Allen and Brett pulled my engine out and pulled it apart and we have founf the issue its a gaden pin ( correct me if i said it wrong ) and other stuff that allen or brett will probly fox me up on but i just thought yoou all would like to know
